In May 2022, we went on our first longer, multi-day tour with our Africa Twins.
First, we went to Längenfeld/Austria to the Aquadom.
We indulged ourselves there for two days.
Well rested, we continued over the Timmelsjoch to South Tyrol.
When we arrived in South Tyrol, we found a really nice forest campsite in Naturns.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great. But now we know that our tent is also suitable for rain 🙂
After a rainy night, we drove on over the Reschen Pass after breakfast.
Unfortunately, we had to take a forced break in Sankt Anton am Arlberg.
Alex’s AT no longer had any compression.
The plan was actually to drive to the Bregenzerwald and find a nice campsite there for the night. The next day we were supposed to continue to Niedereschach/Black Forest to the “Touratech Travel Event”.
Alex was already quite sad because at this point we didn’t know whether we would somehow make it to the Touratech Travel Event. He had been looking forward to it for months.
While we were waiting for Alex’s AT to cool down so that we could continue our journey, we had been thinking about how we should continue. Instead of spending the night in the Bregenzerwald, we decided to drive the faulty AT home somehow. That night, we had packed down our luggage and transferred it to Iris’ AT.
The next afternoon we arrived at the “Touratech Travel Event” campsite. We spent a few nice days in Niedereschach before heading home again.
