In the meantime, Touratech suspensions have been successfully installed in both ATs.
We started with Iris’ motorcycle.
The removal and installation of the stanchions went without a hitch.
After removal, Alex dismantled the stanchions and replaced the bearings, bushes and seals, filled them with new oil and replaced the standard springs with progressive ones.
The shock absorber on the Iris AT was lowered by 2 cm.
The removal and installation of the shock absorber was also simple and straightforward.
It was a different story with Alex’s AT. As already described in the last post, we had to get a “new, used” set of stanchions. Here, too, the bearings, bushes and seals were renewed, filled with new oil and the standard springs replaced with progressive ones and refitted to the vehicle.
Turning old into new 😉 😉
The installation and removal of the suspension strut went without any further problems 😉
