We arranged to meet friends from Germany at the port of Malaga today. Our friend has her parents’ house in the area and she and her family are on vacation “at home” at Pentecost.
Hello, can you see us?
We set off straight after work.
We could watch the many different ships, boats and people for hours.
It’s always fantastic to see the great ships anchored here.
Thank you three so much for the invitation today and the wonderful afternoon.
It was a great pleasure to meet you. It was great that it actually worked out.
Today, May 31, was our last day of work here at Villa Karen.
Over the last few days, we have been able to learn a little more. Since our host is on site and can now explain to us himself what work needs to be done during the day and how he thinks things should be done, and tell us lots of interesting things about the plants, the work is a lot more fun. There will be a lot to harvest in the next few weeks. The tomatoes are slowly turning red. Peppers, eggplants, pumpkins, onions, radishes, cucumbers, of course lettuce and lemons, celery, leeks and figs. The mulberry tree has also finally borne fruit. The artichokes are allowed to flower for the insects.
Beautiful!
The plums are now ripe and really tasty.
In the evening, we were invited to dinner by our host. Naturally, we helped out a little. As Mario is a vegetarian, we naturally had vegetarian food.
Thank you very much for the delicious food and the wonderful evening.
