Our destination for today is a caravan park on the Portuguese south coast of the Algarve. We have rented a caravan here for 4 weeks. If we like it, we would like to stay here until the beginning of January. For the first month we pay 240€, electricity according to consumption 0,50€/kWh. In the second month we pay 230€. In the third month it would be 220€ and so on.
Hot showers cost €1 for 3 minutes.
As fresh water is included in the price, we will use our own shower.
There are some campers on the park who have been here for several weeks or even months. One Dutchman has been here for 9 months. Others are only staying for a few days. The majority of the campers are from Germany. The lovely Angela, who gave us a warm welcome, is also German. However, she is only on site every day until 1 pm. After that, Senior Antonio is there for us day and night. He only speaks Portuguese and lives in a tent directly on the camper park.
We were told that if you follow the path, you will reach the beautiful, secluded beach in about 10 – 15 minutes. The path is adventurously beautiful 🙂 The area is fantastic. Unfortunately, all the rain has blocked the way to the beach. There are many small paths here, maybe there is another way. We’ll take a closer look at these over the next few days.
We were already a bit busy this morning. It makes much more sense to arrange the cupboard doors like this. We now have a much better overview.
Somewhere in this little village there is a bakery and a mini-market.
So we set off in search of one.
The village mainly consists of small alleyways. You can really get lost there. And it took us a while to find the mini market.
A restaurant and a bar, all in one alley.
