25.-29.04.2023 Jarazmin-Malaga/Spain

In the evening we were glad to be able to take a refreshing shower and relax for the rest of Saturday in temperatures of 39° Celsius.

Start of work 8.30am:

After work, we started looking for a host for the period between Granada and Seville on the Workaway portal. Let’s see if we get a positive response.
Granada is booked. We want to spend a few days there and visit the Alhambra.
The weather here is strange today. Cloudy, not humid but strangely warm. It’s kind of exhausting and makes us a bit tired. So we decided to have a little siesta today!

We have such a nice concert every morning from 6:00 am.
The biggest screamer starts screaming later. The neighbor has a big parrot and it makes a lot of noise. Sometimes you think you’re in the jungle.

After gardening, we still had time to put in two chairs.

We finished work on time today and freshened up in the shower. We’re meeting a Spanish friend of Alex’s for lunch today. He lives here in Malaga. About 6 years ago, Alex was here in Malaga with his best friend Miguel. He showed Alex his home, his parents’ house, and also met his friends, which led to new friendships.
We meet one of these friends today with his wife at Pedro, a typical tapas bar where everyone knows everyone else. We now know everyone and they know us 🙂

It was a lovely afternoon. The two of them live 60 meters from Pedro’s bar.

We rounded off the evening with a gin and tonic. Ok, we ended up with 4 glasses because they are so small :-O
But don’t worry, we both had a total of 2 normal gin and tonics 😉

Do you remember one of the last posts? The Workawayer who explained to us on the first day what to do said that the banana tree should be harvested. Unfortunately, we didn’t know how to get to the top of the plant. But now see for yourself in the video…

We actually have the weekend off, but as we are currently here on our own, we still have to look after the plants and water them. After 50 minutes, everything is well taken care of.

We then set off on our motorcycles straight away.
Our planned round trip today.

First break after just under 1 1/2 hours. We didn’t really want to stop for that long. But things usually turn out differently than you think anyway. Small glimpses of a beautiful tour with breathtaking nature.
Unfortunately, our GoPro had other plans than we did and the most beautiful sections of the route were not filmed, which is a shame for you. We won’t forget these impressions for a long time.
