21.12.-27.12.2025 Figueira-Budens, Portugal Algarve

Over Christmas, we had visitors from Germany: Alex’s brother and our nephew.
As so often, the week went by far too quickly.
Portugal didn’t exactly give them a warm welcome.
Unfortunately, it rained a lot that week. We took advantage of the rain-free periods to visit the southwesternmost tip of Europe. We also showed them various other beaches. And, of course, Lagos and the caves from above.

On December 24, we went swimming and enjoyed the sun. Afterwards, we went for a walk and later had a delicious barbecue. We also finally got to open the package from our friends. Thank you so much, we were really happy to receive it.

At the Carrapateira viewpoint, the Atlantic Ocean showed its wild side.

And now a quick note on our own behalf. I would like to inform you that from now on, posts will be published monthly rather than weekly.
I hope you still enjoy reading them and will continue to travel with us diligently.

Thank you all very much and have a wonderful start to 2026!

Yours, Iris and Alex
