2 years 2hearts1adventure

Today, on March 8, 2025, we have been on our adventure for 2 years. In this second year, Iris’ parents, Alex’s brother and our children have visited us. We have met all kinds of different people. We have made new friends. Unfortunately, we also lost two of them. They lost the battle against their illnesses.
We enjoyed Portugal’s raging Atlantic Ocean and its coastline, as well as the mountains in the Algarve on our motorcycles. In Spain, we felt particularly at home in the Malaga region. Gibraltar was also worth seeing.

We found a good way to get to know the sea, as well as the inland and mountains of Portugal and Spain.
At Christmas we flew to Germany for a surprise visit, which was a complete success.
At the end of this second year, a new adventure begins for us. We are on our way to the north of Europe. With a short stopover with our family.
In the meantime, we have rebuilt our WENNE to suit our needs. However, there is always something to do, repairs, embellishments, etc. Over time, we have become a well-coordinated team, enjoy our time together and it works wonderfully. We learn something new every day. We have everything we need in a small space. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, dining room and living room, cellar and garage 🤭. Our garden is the world. At home where our WENNE is.

Iris shed a lot of tears in the first year. Everything was quite difficult for her emotionally. That has since subsided. Traveling by motorcycle was probably just not her world. Everything works much better in our WENNE. We have fun and look forward to what lies ahead every day.

You shouldn’t give up on your dream when it threatens to fail. You just have to change direction, rethink a little and see what happens. In our case, it was a good decision to switch to 4 or 6 wheels.
We are now looking forward to year number 3 and its adventures.

We would be delighted if you would continue to accompany us on our journey and would be happy to tell you about our wonderful and not so wonderful experiences.

We write about the highs and lows of our conversion to WENNE. We are writing more of a diary than a travel guide, but if you have any questions, just ask. We’ll be happy to answer them if we can. We are also open to advice, praise and criticism.

Many thanks to all of you who are traveling with us so diligently. Thank you for every single comment. Many thanks to all those who are in regular contact with us and many thanks to all those who support us in whatever way. It really means a lot to us and we really appreciate it, because we don’t take it for granted.

Best regards

Iris & Alex
