I can’t believe it, 3:15 pm and I’m off work.
Since then we’ve always worked until about 5:30pm. But we found out that we get a long weekend and therefore have Friday off.
On Sunday we’ll be heading back to Malaga.

Today was whitewashing day. Whitewashing is like painting. This lime paint, also known as lime milk, is produced by Hanne herself. It is then applied to the wall like a wall paint, only much thinner. However, you need at least 2-3 coats.
I managed 2 coats today.
Today I also learned that there is a slightly different way of working here. You simply paint over cobwebs and dust and so on. Hanne just wouldn’t accept that I wanted to clean the walls first.

In many cases, people just get on with it. With this way of working, where you often know beforehand that the manual labor was probably for nothing because it often doesn’t last long.
But we just adapt and do it the way it should be done.

Alex had to adjust the struts for the windbreak today.
Not in his own way, of course (Alex is actually a perfectionist, which doesn’t mean he’s a pro at what he does, but he always works very conscientiously and carefully), but entirely according to instructions.

This wall is the result of this great way of working. The old clay plaster has to be removed and the wall re-plastered.

That was actually a task for today, Hanne even helped. But this work was very strenuous and took longer than expected. So that’s now a project for another day.
There are tasks every morning here and in the evening you don’t work according to plan a, but according to plan b, c or even d. That’s just the way it is here and you get used to it.

A quick look at why the washing machine is no longer running. And then off to the end of the day.
Now it’s working again 🙂

After the tent had been painstakingly erected, it was decided that the tent should be shortened by another pole length tomorrow.

Uff, that won’t be easy.
But that’s plan A, let’s see if it works tomorrow or not.
