16.04.2023 Orgiva, Sierra Nevada/Spain

Today we went on an excursion and even got directions from Hanne. After we set off, we arrived at a meadow a short time later. There was supposed to be a path somewhere, but we wandered around the meadow for 15 minutes until we finally found it.

So we walked on, right through the undergrowth.

Up here in the mountains of Cerro Negros there is an amazing variety of edible things 🙂

Good decision not to watch the sunset :-0
Who knows if someone would have confused us on the way back in the dark.

This house down there is our host from Hanne. A lot of what you can see belongs to her property. Hanne has soooo many olive, almond, lemon, orange, avocado, pomegranate, pear, kumquat, chestnut & pistachio trees.
That’s so great. She has also planted various things in vegetable patches. Various lettuces, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, garlic, strawberries, potatoes and much more.
And if you look closely, you can see our sleeping area 😉

Can you see the pine cone Alex threw up?

Somehow it looks a bit like the Wild West here.

Break!!

We saw various insects in the air and on the ground. A toad, lizards, grasshoppers, unfortunately the photo was too slow for the green snake 🙁
and many more…alive and not so alive 😉

Where are we heading?

Earlier everything was empty here, no water?!?!!

We had a really lovely day today. The area here on the southern slope of the Sierra Nevada is incredibly beautiful.
