On Sunday we had a delicious breakfast with our youngest daughter and her boyfriend and spent a lovely morning with them.
Afterwards, we paid a visit to our older daughter and son-in-law at coffee time.
The week started with getting material for the new frame of our platform. The material costs over €100 more at the local dealers than on the Internet. So we decided to order the steel tubes and everything else.
Monday and Tuesday were a break from work. We used the time with our older daughter.
On Wednesday, we were then able to slowly start work.
Alex cut the steel tubes to size and welded them together to form a frame.
It was sanded and painted.
Now we have a rust-free, safe frame again.
The spare wheel rim was also sanded down and given a new coat of paint.
Milka then fitted the tire back onto the rim. Many thanks for that 😉
Among other things, we treated ourselves to a thermal curtain. We have noticed that in colder temperatures there is a cold draught from the driver’s cab into the living area. Even when we’re driving, there’s a fairly fresh draught from the opening between the driver’s cab and the living area. We have therefore fitted a thermal curtain on each side. A big thank you goes to Iris Mama, who sewed it to the right length for us.
