On Sunday we brought WENNE back to us. Not every neighbor is happy about that ;-0
Alex used the time to sort out all the storage compartments filled with tools, spare parts, various work materials and the like, tidy them up and put them away again in a reasonably sensible way.
I, on the other hand, did a thorough clean and sorted and tidied the cupboards.
Our little KTM was given a thorough wash.
Our children and children-in-law have given us a really great gift with this Omnia set.
We are really looking forward to making fresh bread, casseroles, pastries, cakes and other delicious food with it. We do have an oven with us, but it’s a bit bigger and only intended for outdoor use. So we only use it when we’re going to be somewhere for a long time. From now on, Iris can bake and make casseroles whenever she feels like it.
Finding a good insect screen for the door is very difficult. We now hope to finally have a good one. It was a recommendation from friends who are very happy with it. Let us be surprised.
This week we have already said goodbye to some friends and family members.
The chaos of the past few weeks at WENNE due to the work…
…has now been resolved and we are ready for new adventures.
During our stay here in our home country
Alex has put a lot of sweat and nerves into the work on WENNE. Things didn’t always run smoothly and sometimes one thing led to another. So the stay in our home country was longer than expected due to the extra work.
In the end, everything turned out really well.
We also made new friends and are delighted that our family has grown by a few members and that we were able to spend a lot of time getting to know these great and lovely people.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank one or two of them once again:
Many thanks to Iris’s parents, who once again took us in, let us stay with them and spoiled us again and again. Also for letting us use their car at any time. This is not a matter of course and we really appreciate it.
A big thank you goes to the crew from OG Kustom, who made it possible for us to work on their property. They supported us with tools, materials and their knowledge. A big thank you to the good soul of the house, who provided us with drinks and food here and there.
Many thanks to Bernhard, who also provided us with materials.
Thanks to our children and children-in-law for everything, you are great!
Thanks also to everyone we were able to visit. Thank you for the warm invitations, the delicious hospitality and the great time with you.
Thank you to everyone who was there for us and supported us during the time we were in Germany.
Thanks also to all of you for traveling with us so diligently and regularly browsing through our blog.
Have a great Easter and if you feel like it, come back next week when we’ll be on the road again. We don’t know exactly what the route to Sweden will be yet. Just go with the flow and see what happens. We are very excited.
