At the beginning of the week, Mr. A. asked Alex for a favor. He needs to fill up his LPG gas and therefore has to take his Concord to a filling station. Unfortunately, Mr. A. injured himself shortly after his arrival here on the site at the beginning of December. As a result, he has difficulty moving his right leg and is currently unable to move his vehicle.
Alex and I are really happy to help everyone on the site and when Alex is also allowed to drive Concord, he enjoys it twice as much.

On their return, the two of them used the service area to drain the gray water and fill up with fresh water.
Alex visibly enjoyed this assistance.

Our friends from East Frisia are always so kind and bring us water and beer when they go shopping and we need some. That’s great, because it’s a bit difficult to transport on a motorcycle. Of course, they would also bring us other things at any time, but we manage the normal shopping very well on the motorcycle.
However, we were very happy to accept Mr. A’s offer to borrow his car at any time in the middle of the week so that we could go shopping again and get some long-life groceries. We had already thought about driving off with WENNE, but we would have to take down the awning, stow everything away safely and it would take some time before WENNE was really ready to drive. So the offer came in handy. As he can’t drive to the shops himself and his food supplies are running low, we took Mr. A with us.
A win-win situation for everyone.
As if he hadn’t already given us enough with his car, he insisted on inviting us into his camper van for coffee and cake.
Now we have added another person to our circle of friends. It was a very nice afternoon.

In our article in the last week of December, we reported on the various fellow campers at the camper park.
We had only briefly met Mr. A., who is over 70 years old, and found him very stubborn, although you can have a glass of wine and a chat with him.
Once again, he is a great example of how you should be careful with your prejudices. Personally, we totally misjudged him because we only saw things and didn’t know why they were like that or what was really behind them. You often just listen to other people’s opinions and gossip. Alex’s prejudices aren’t as extreme as Iris’s, but she really needs to work on that. Now that we’ve had the chance to get to know him properly, we know a few things better and can understand them.
And this has now turned into a new friendship.

It’s situations, experiences and adventures like these that make traveling with the camper so interesting. It is a gift to be able to lead such a life and every new friendship, every good relationship, the help we receive from each other and the exchange of advice, not forgetting the beautiful landscapes, the sea, getting to know other cultures and foreign surroundings, this freedom to be able to do what you want and not what you have to, all this is so valuable to us, we appreciate it all very much.

We’ve had a lot of rain this week, so there’s not much interesting to report. We watch the rain and see who is hanging around outside in this weather 🙂
