11.08.-16.08.2025 Germany/Baden Württemberg “at home”

We arrived home on Monday afternoon. As always, we were allowed to stay with Iris’ parents in their house.
As our 3 kids were all on vacation for a few days this week, we decided not to make any other visits and to concentrate on other things for the time being.
Alex had to do a few small repairs to WENNE. The bike was also in urgent need of maintenance.
The laundry was thoroughly washed again.
A few orders completed. A few new clothes, presents, as there are a few birthdays coming up, a new marker light for WENNE and a few other little things.
WENNE is leaking oil and urgently needs new brakes. And there are new cushions for the seats. We also took care of these appointments this week.

We usually go shopping with my parents once a week. Then we don’t have to take WENNE into town and can shop more easily than if we go by motorcycle.

The weather is also great at the moment and my parents and Alex’s brother and I enjoyed lazing around and having a cozy get-together in the garden.

At the end of September, beginning of October, we will probably set off for our “winter quarters”.
Although we hadn’t actually planned to travel to Spain/Portugal again in the next few years, we have now decided to do so, as our plans for next year have been postponed from February to May and we don’t want to start a new adventure for various reasons.
As so often before, all the ideas we had for this fall and next year have been completely changed. But that’s the great thing about our current life. Just go with the flow. Changing or adapting plans and ideas. Without pressure, without rushing and without a guilty conscience.
We really enjoy this freedom!

Unfortunately, it probably won’t be very interesting for you to follow the weekly posts over the next few weeks, as there’s not much adventurous, new, interesting or varied to report here at home. Nevertheless, we will keep you up to date every week.
