After a very uncomfortable, noisy and sleepless night, we set off for Pau in Catalonia/Spain after breakfast.
We made very slow progress today. It was very windy again and the gusts of wind forced us to lean on straight stretches. So the ride was terribly tiring and we needed a few breaks.
The almond blossoms are so beautiful.
Although Alex kept drawing my attention to the beauty of the landscape, I could only take in very little of it due to my concentration.
Only the last few kilometers were a little more relaxed.
At the last tip of the south of France, so to speak, in Banyuls sur mer, we had to make another short stop to greet the sea.
After an exhausting 370 km, we arrived at our destination for the day
A few kilometers after the Spanish border we found the great “paoblau” Bed & Breakfast accommodation in Pau, right in the Pyrenees. We received a very warm welcome from the friendly owner, who is originally from Sweden.
We stayed here for 2 nights to rest.
From now on, our journey continues very slowly and comfortably. We are very excited about the great and not so great experiences and adventures that await us.
