Mr. W and Mrs. H had been kind enough to take us shopping in their car. So we were able to replenish our supplies straight away and also buy heavier and larger things that we can’t easily transport by motorcycle.
As the conversion and renovation work on the WENNE has been completed for the time being, we are now using the rest of our time here for the finer things in life 😉
So these days we went on a little motorcycle tour. Of course, as always, first to the coast and on the way back through the interior.
On another day, we went for a walk on the beach. It’s incredible how powerful the water is, how wildly the Atlantic has raged in our absence, washing away the sand and giving the beach a completely new look.
First, we enjoyed walking on the sand and looking directly at the horizon from the beach, before climbing up the steep, rocky paths to view the Atlantic from above.
The days were very cloudy and sometimes rainy. Foggy in the morning and alternating sun and clouds during the day. With temperatures in the single digits at night, it’s still nice to wear a T-shirt, shorts or a dress during the day. Nothing stands in the way of a dip in the currently rough Atlantic Ocean. Next week it is expected to cool down by up to 5 degrees at night, but there will be warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine during the day.
We are now enjoying the last few weeks here in Portugal very consciously with short or longer walks, motorcycle tours, games evenings alone or with friends and cozy get-togethers with lots of great people, because we will probably not be spending the next few years in Portugal but looking at the other beautiful places in Europe.
