We always have a great time with our dear friends. This week was no exception. First we played cards and
then we spontaneously went for a night walk on the beach.
It was a very nice, adventurous experience.
Alex has once again found a new task. It’s not on our to-do list and it’s not as if everything on the list has already been done ๐
As it was always a struggle to get the nozzle into the filler neck when filling up, it will hopefully be more relaxed from now on. That was another good idea from Alex.
When installing our service hatch, the beautiful sticker from our friends and great country band Arizona Crossroads had to go due to the cut-out. So we put a new one on ๐
Then on Thursday and Friday we had a lot of rain and gales of up to 80 km/h.
As we had secured and tidied up everything well in advance, disposed of the toilet cassette and waste water and filled up with enough fresh water, we were able to spend the days completely relaxed.
It hadn’t been this tidy for a long time. It’s now nice and cozy here and we feel very comfortable. It’s also nice to spend a few days indoors.
Alex has done a lot of research into photovoltaics and the associated batteries and accessories so that we can make a decision soon, get everything and install it. This topic of solar and self-sufficient power supply in the camper is quite extensive and exhausting. I also read a bit, but I preferred a novel.
The two days passed quickly and relaxed with playing cards, making phone calls to the family and simply watching the storm, the rain and the people who had to stay outside despite the weather.
Before the weather turned bad again on Sunday, we absolutely had to make the most of the sunshine on Saturday. We actually just wanted to walk to our stretch of beach and see how the beach had changed again due to the weather and what the sea was doing ๐ ๐
It was wonderfully warm in the sun and the tide was slowly coming in. So we extended our tour and walked over the cliffs to the small beach with the beautiful bay and the great view.
We were gripped by the WOW effect. The sea was raging and pushing the water closer and closer into the bay. The waves gave us a fantastic view and we stayed at this beautiful spot for a whole two hours. It is always amazing to see how the sea washes and changes the sand. Every time you take a walk on the beach, everything looks completely different. Phenomenal!
We watched as the tide slowly came in.
Iris was so amazed that she couldn’t get out of the way of the wave that made its way to us quickly enough, so she had to dry all her clothes and shoes first. Good thing it was really nice and warm ๐
