The pitch is really nice. We are right on the edge and have our peace and quiet. During the day there are only a few campers. In the evening, however, everything is full here. Most of them only stay to sleep.
When we wanted to go shopping this morning, someone shouted at us through the window of his camper van about how the Heidenheim soccer match went yesterday. We answered promptly, 2:2. It was a single traveler from Böblingen and he had just spent 6 weeks in Portugal. He recommended the park4night app. There are free parking spaces, including on farms or elsewhere with private people. Exactly what we want.
A very nice encounter.

Our way to a few stores led through the small, sleepy village with really beautiful houses and properties. Lots of animals, goats, geese, turkeys, cows, dogs and even cats.
The supermarket was small but there was a bit of everything except bread. The sales clerk was very nice and told us where the only bakery in the village was.

Our youngest daughter urged us to stop by a bakery. So off we went. Unfortunately, today is Saturday and there was still half a Bugette, a small sandwich Bugette and 2x 5 chocolate croissants already packed.
So we took the half Bugette and of course 1x 5 chocolate croissant. The croissants were quite large and only cost €3.

The way back went through a small, green park.

Today we ventured to open the awning. After being surprised time and again with not-so-great things in this camper, we were prepared for anything and were actually pleasantly surprised this time.
The awning has a few small holes and isn’t quite the prettiest anymore, but it will serve its purpose.

While Alex was working indoors, I set about making sure that the holes didn’t get any bigger and were tight.

Not pretty but unique.

In the meantime, the previous owner of the camper has also contacted us and was able to give us information on how to use the boiler.
It worked straight away and we now have hot water.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all 🙂
For still traveling with us. For your comments, advice and encouragement. For all your kind wishes and words. Thank you all so much. It means a lot to us. Thanks to you, it’s even more fun to document our posts and put them online.

The pitch is beautifully situated in the countryside.
Tonight we heard the cries of owls, quite spooky with the beautiful moonlight and the cemetery next door :-0

Yesterday we went to the supermarket and bakery in the center of the village. It was deserted. Today we went for a walk in the opposite direction. Apart from a farm here and there, fields, meadows and cattle, there’s nothing at all for miles around. We thought it was great.

Unfortunately, we had to realize that our spare wheel would be more of a hazard than a help. Perhaps we were too naive or simply stupid not to have thought about this beforehand. We thought we’d try our luck with the ADAC….
At extra cost, because of the size of “WENNE”, they would tow us to the nearest garage or send us addresses of garages by SMS and we could visit them and ask for tires. Towing was not necessary, we can still get to Euromaster, where we have an appointment tomorrow anyway. We had the addresses given to us. However, they were no help either, as they are normal garages.
