01.03.-07.03.2024 Figueira- Budens, Algarve/Portugal

Of course, a visit to the beach with Iris’ parents was a must this week. You simply have to experience such a wonderful beach and the fantastic view of the sea and the horizon for yourself.

We also made a trip to Faro, the capital of the Algarve. Through the gate that led us into the old town, we walked past the various churches and the cathedral with the bishop’s seat through the old town streets to the port of Faro.

The Ria Formosa Nature Park consists largely of a lagoon with an area of 83.5 km². The entire nature park covers an area of 170 km². This makes it the largest lagoon in Europe and stretches from west of Faro to east of Tavira.

We had a lovely day in Faro 😉

There was a small birthday party for Iris Mama’s 70th ❤️ 🙂 Happy Birthday 🙂
Many thanks for the invitation to a delicious Portuguese meal.
We ended the evening with a little game.

We have now received 5 of the 13 packages we ordered with parts for converting the bunk bed.
The lithium batteries for the expansion of our solar power have also been delivered. Of course, Alex continued with the preparatory work and installed the batteries in their place.

As soon as Iris’ parents are near us, we are spoiled with delicious homemade lemon cake from Iris’ mom.

And we received a beautiful meadow bouquet from our dear friends. What a great surprise.
