There’s not much to see here in the village of Goián. The church is somehow the highlight.
We took a walk to the Rio Mino, which is only a few minutes away from the campsite.
The border river between Spain and Portugal.
You can already see Portugal in the background.
Our next campsite will probably be on the Portuguese side.
In the evening, an Austrian couple invited us for a beer in front of the camper. We had a nice evening together.
It’s really great, you get to know so many different nice people. It’s always very interesting what they have to say.
Thanks to “WENNE”, we also quickly get into conversation with others. Of course, we are always delighted by the reactions during the ride, which include waving and thumbs up.
If we collected one euro for every photo taken by “WENNE”, we could go out for a good meal once a month.
Our ride today was only 5km long.
This city is definitely worth a visit.
The Bienal de Cerveira art exhibition, which has been held every two years since 1978, is well known. In addition to the exhibitions, it also hosts workshops, discussions and lectures, creative residencies for artists, performances and concerts. Art is a focal point for the town, which is also known as Vila das Artes. Among other things, the city has an artists’ house for creative residencies dedicated to art in all its forms, from painting and sculpture to theater, dance, electronic art, photography, music and other art forms.
Throughout the old town you will find objects covered in crocheted art. And crocheted decorations can be found hanging all over the city.
What a lot of work that must have been!
Interesting to look at.
These instruments are also covered in crochet.
“The wall of shame 2013”
The work refers to the 3,141 km long western wall between the United States of America and Mexico and the 721 km long wall between Israel and Pales where thousands of people have died.
Of course, WENNE also receives a souvenir from Portugal.
