After breakfast, we packed up our motorcycles. We quickly did a few things. (Cleaning the apartment, putting the bed linen and towels in the washing machine, giving our leftovers from the fridge to the Swiss volunteer…)
Our host said goodbye to us early. He had an appointment with his car at the garage.
We had spent an unforgettable time here with Mario near Malaga.
We’ll take you with us on our journey from Malaga to Granada.
After driving stop and go through the city, the roads became narrower and narrower and there were almost no cars on the road.
In the Granada region, a bit up in the mountains, there was a lot of agriculture. But no villages.
After this hotel appeared out of nowhere, we immediately took advantage of it and took a break. Who knows when the next opportunity will come.
Arrived at our accommodation.
We were able to park our motorcycles in the garage one street away for the 3 nights for an additional €50.
Because the room is quite small for all our equipment and the motorcycles attract a lot of attention on the street, we decided to do this. This meant we could only take the bare minimum of luggage to our room and they wouldn’t be the center of attention.
Later on, we took a little stroll through the city.
We could sit here for hours and watch the many different people.
It’s interesting what clothes some people choose.
Watching the policeman at work in the background was very funny. The balloon seller also caught our attention.
Buying a Napolitana at the bakery… Alex compulsory program 😉
But they are also damn tasty 🙂
I really wanted to order a liter of beer from the jug. Alex had already told me about it. He knew it from his vacation in Spain a few years ago.
Only that there were more people than just two 🙂 sharing the jug.
Anyway, we managed to get the jug empty 😉
Our room and the bathroom are small but perfectly adequate.
From a health point of view, however, we cannot recommend it.
You can certainly see why from the picture.
Our day in Granada begins with a small part of the Alhambra from the outside.
Even the way there was really beautiful. These small alleyways and beautiful buildings.
In the afternoon, when there were so many people in the Alhambra & the city, we went to see the beautiful nature.
We were able to see some animals. Unfortunately we couldn’t take any photos.
It was definitely worth it. A truly beautiful view from up here.
I wonder why we, of all people, are once again not choosing decent paths 😉
Perhaps it’s because of beautiful hidden places like this.
Back to the hotel, we take a leisurely stroll through the city. Such beautiful buildings, interesting architecture. This Arabic touch is very interesting. Just like the market alleys.
In the evening we went to Los Bandios.
A tiny restaurant. We think people mainly order takeaway here.
The real restaurant was next door and didn’t open until later. But we were already hungry.
It was really tasty and we found it cozy.
Afterwards, we set off again through the city. I really wanted to experience Granada at night.
It’s wonderful how the Alhambra is illuminated by the sun
A view of the Sierra Nevada. If the clouds were gone, you could see the snow on the mountains in the Sierra Nevada ski resort. It is currently said to be around 1° there. At an altitude of 3479m, Mulhancén is the highest mountain in the region, where you can ski all year round.
